The heat of authentic Thai food
Bird’s eye chilies are small but very hot, with a clean, sharp heat and fruity flavour that Thai dishes rely on. Imported fresh chilies keep their colour, crunch and aroma far better than frozen alternatives. We also supply the milder spur chili (prik chee fa) and jinda chili for kitchens that need a range of heat levels.
How kitchens use it
Bird’s eye chilies are pounded into som tam (green papaya salad), sliced into nam pla prik and other dipping sauces, and used in curries, stir-fries such as pad kra pao, and larb. Green chilies are often preferred for salads and sauces; red for colour and garnish.
